Yesterday, Ningbo Maritime Silk Road Trade and Currency Exhibition kicked off at the Ningbo Financial History Museum in Yuehu Shengyuan. The exhibition is jointly organized by China Numismatic Society and Ningbo Central Sub-branch of the People’s Bank of China, aiming at promoting the “the belt and road initiative” initiative and the history and culture of Ningbo’s “Maritime Silk Road” and promoting the construction of Ningbo’s “the belt and road initiative” comprehensive demonstration zone.
One of the main contents of this exhibition is to introduce the development of Ningbo Maritime Silk Road. According to the organizer, Ningbo has promoted the formation of the oriental monetary culture system. Since the Tang and Song Dynasties, Ningbo, as an oriental trading city and a hub port of maritime foreign trade, has played an important role in Chinese and foreign trade, Chinese and foreign currency circulation and China currency export, and contributed to the formation of the oriental monetary culture system with China currency as the core and the spread of China monetary culture.
Fan Yifei, deputy governor of the People’s Bank of China, and other guests attended the opening ceremony yesterday. The exhibition will last for one month.
