Jingshan Tea Banquet is a kind of lobby tea party when Jingshan Temple in Yuhang District of Hangzhou receives distinguished guests. It is also an outstanding representative of China’s tea culture. In 2022, it was included in the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
It is understood that the Jingshan Tea Banquet consists of more than ten ritual procedures, including making a tea list, beating tea drums, respectfully inviting guests to enter the hall, offering incense to Buddha, frying soup to order tea, dividing tea with cups, speaking in a jit to eat tea, and thanking tea for leaving the hall.
