It is an important engine for cultivating new drivers of urban development, stimulating urban vitality and charm, prospering urban and rural economy, improving urban quality and energy level, enhancing urban competitiveness, and promoting high-quality urban development.
In December 2020, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced the first batch of national cultural and tourism consumption pilot demonstration cities. Hangzhou was selected as the “National Cultural and Tourism Consumption Demonstration City”, and Ningbo and Wenzhou were selected as the “National Cultural and Tourism Consumption Pilot Cities”.

From September 17th to 18th, the Zhejiang Provincial Conference on Promoting Cultural and Tourism Consumption was held in Deqing, Huzhou. Chu Ziyu, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Fan Qingyu, member of the Standing Committee of the Huzhou Municipal Committee and Minister of Propaganda, and Min Yun, Vice Mayor of Huzhou City, attended the meeting. National and provincial pilot demonstration cities for cultural and tourism consumption have exchanged experiences and practices in promoting cultural and tourism consumption based on their respective realities.
