On October 9th, the United Front Work Department (Religious Affairs Bureau) of Beilun District Committee of Ningbo held a seminar on key standards of the pilot project of standardization of grassroots ethnic work (National Standards Committee), with Gan Xuemin, deputy director of Beilun District Religious Affairs Bureau, presiding over the seminar, and Li Weibo, a member of the party group and second-level inspector of Ningbo Religious Affairs Bureau, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
The Municipal Institute of Standardization reported the progress of the standardization pilot project, further explained the idea of compiling the standard system for grass-roots ethnic work in Beilun, and interpreted the levels, modules and key standards of the standard system framework.
Participants had a heated discussion on further optimizing the framework of standardization system, supplementing and perfecting the composition of key standards, and further standardizing the name and text content of standards. The leaders of the pilot community put forward many meaningful, valuable and operable opinions and suggestions on strengthening the practicability and applicability of key standards, improving the foresight of standards by party school experts, and further broadening the horizons and learning advanced experience by the leaders of the Citizens’ Bureau, which laid a solid foundation for the drafting of key standards. Participants also conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the topic of “Exploration and Research on Standardization Assisting Digital Reform of Grassroots Ethnic Work”.
Li Weibo put forward three requirements for promoting the standardization of ethnic work at the grassroots level in Beilun with high quality and high standards. First, we must conscientiously study and understand the spirit of the central and provincial and municipal national work conferences, firmly grasp the main line of building a strong sense of the Chinese nation community, and adhere to the correct direction in the construction of pilot projects. Second, based on the scattered characteristics of the floating population of foreign ethnic minorities in Beilun District, through the implementation of standardized projects, we should further improve the work of “communication and integration” among the people of all ethnic groups, so as to effectively enable the people of all ethnic groups in Lailun to get in, stay, integrate and develop well. Third, we should keep pace with the times to promote the innovative development of urban ethnic work, further improve the working mechanism of party building leading, departmental responsibility, social coordination and public participation, better integrate with grassroots governance, civilization creation and future community construction, further enhance the ability and level of grassroots ethnic affairs governance, and strive to create a “Beilun sample” of urban grassroots ethnic work.
Relevant personnel of the two-level Civil Affairs Bureau in the urban area, relevant experts from Ningbo City, Beilun District Party School, Municipal Standardization Research Institute and Beilun District People’s Promotion Association, and leaders of the pilot communities attended the seminar.
