From December 11th to 14th, the Future Digital Tourism Conference and the first Digital Tourism Industry Exhibition were held in Hangzhou. At this digital event, Taizhou’s “first exhibition” of six key digital reform achievements fully demonstrated the landing of digital technology in cultural and tourism scenes. Including a number of application projects aimed at the digital upgrade of travel services, the “Travel Peace of Mind”, “Travel Adjustment” and “Travel Vehicle Purchasing Management System” created by Taizhou, as well as the “Tour Guide Online” released by Tiantai County and the “Zheli Youxi” integrated cultural tourism products created by Linhai, further activating diversified cultural tourism consumption demand through digital cultural tourism.
The reporter noted that a number of projects participating in this exhibition have been selected into a number of digital reform pilot projects of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, demonstrating the phased achievements of Taizhou cultural and tourism departments in accelerating the wide application of digital technology in the cultural and tourism industry.
Activate the new space of digital travel consumption
In April, 2022, “Travel Worry” was launched, based on providing one-stop accurate cultural travel service for benefiting the people, expanding tourism consumption scenarios and enriching tourists’ consumption experience.
According to reports, the “one-stop information” information port collects more than 5 million pieces of tourist information data, more than 1 million pieces of enterprise and related product data, including Taizhou scenic spots, homestays, restaurants, villages, travel agencies and other basic information, and contracts to guide tourists’ “eating, living, traveling, traveling, shopping and entertainment”.
The platform is also connected to the service point of the livelihood project “Taizhou people travel to Taizhou for free”. Taizhou citizens can complete online unified real-name authentication and go to the scenic spot to visit. They only need to scan their ID cards or QR codes offline to enter, so as to maximize the sharing of tourism development achievements among the people.
In 2022, Taizhou also held activities such as “Promotion and Promotion of Party Secretaries of Nine Counties (Cities, Districts) in Taizhou” and “Taiwan Wenjinli’s Rural Tourism Development Alliance along the Border Village”, taking advantage of the activities to give play to the advantages of online communication and interaction, attracting customers and gathering customers, and precise marketing.
“Worry about Travel” also adds the scene of “Governing the Well-being”, and the sub-application of “Tourist Bus” is launched to solve the difficulty of “people are on the road” for travel safety. The sub-application of “Tourism Court Adjustment” aims at protecting tourists’ rights effectively, helping Taizhou to become a pilot city for mediation and arbitration of tourism complaints in China. These innovative application scenarios are fully displayed at this exhibition.
The reporter also learned that since the launch of the “Travel Worry” application, the number of visitors has exceeded 3 million, and the accumulated free tickets for state-owned scenic spots are worth 1..800 million yuan, a total of more than 10 million yuan of coupons were issued, benefiting more than 50,000 tourists, and it is expected to drive tourism revenue of 100 million yuan.
The “Worry-Free Travel” project has also won many awards, and it has been selected as the third batch of excellent applications of the digital culture system in Zhejiang Province, the first batch of people’s “worrying about their stomachs” reform project in Taizhou City and the “leading the whole body” reform project.
Digital “New Infrastructure” to Improve Public Services
During the exhibition, Taizhou, the application representative of “There is a Play in Zhejiang”, boarded the Future Digital Travel Conference to share successful experiences.
The grassroots cultural activities are difficult to supervise and help, the supply and demand of cultural activities are asymmetric, and the development quality of performing arts industry is not high … The increasingly prosperous Taizhou grassroots cultural market is facing practical problems such as administrative supervision and industry development dilemma.
In June, 2022, “Zhejiang Opera” was applied to “Zhejiang Office” and was selected as the second batch of pilot projects of digital reform of Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Tourism Department.
As an important application of digital cultural system in Linhai City to improve modern public cultural service system, the scene construction of “Zhejiang Opera” starts with industry management, reshapes the business process of examination and approval, and realizes the simultaneous examination and approval of 19 departments including public security, fire protection, cultural tourism and housing construction. Secondly, establish a “white list” system of performance venues, create a whole chain of closed-loop grassroots cultural service governance ecology, and constantly stimulate the vitality and creativity of private cultural performance groups.
Up to now, the application has served 440,000 people in the coastal area, the approval rate and supervision rate of cultural activities have increased to 90%, the satisfaction of the people with cultural services has increased by 16%, and the cultural industry has increased by 4..2%, the actual effect is obvious.
With the wings of digitalization, modern cultural governance needs to break the time and space restrictions and deliver and feedback all kinds of information in time.
At the exhibition site, Taizhou Library re-engraved and merged the E-book bar, providing the audience with an immersive experience scene.
Compared with ordinary books, e-Book Bar breaks through the limitations of venue-type space construction, integrates paper books, audio books, e-books and other resources with new technologies, stores 240 paper books, insists on adding new books every month, and regularly circulates books on shelves, and the monthly update rate of books exceeds 30%. E-book bar also provides e-books and audio books, including radio dramas, operas, education and training, etc., with a total resource of over 500,000 articles and an average monthly update of over 10%. Readers can borrow books by themselves through their mobile phones, so that the designated books can be sent to Hehe E Book Bar and enjoy the “online shopping service” nearby.
The first Hehe E book bar in Taizhou has settled in the lobby on the first floor of Taizhou Women and Children Hospital. Since the official operation, a total of 1674 books have been borrowed, 1755 books have been returned, and 157 books have been delivered by appointment.
Looking at Taizhou, the new cultural infrastructure of “digital intelligence” empowerment is in full swing. Taizhou has built libraries, cultural centers, museums and other smart cultural venues, launched a number of new cultural products on the cloud, and created a number of “never-ending exhibitions” and “never-ending stages”.
Innovation and expansion of “digital+”in various places
In recent years, Taizhou’s cultural tourism system has made great efforts to plan major reform application scenarios, and has continued to exert its strength in the fields of building a smart cultural tourism brain, promoting the digitalization of cultural and tourism services, and promoting the digitalization of cultural and tourism governance. Various localities have accumulated practical experience and formed a number of digital reform achievements with Taizhou’s cultural tourism recognition.
Recently, Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Tourism Department announced the pilot list of “Cultural Tourism Brain” reform, and two projects, “Xianju County Cultural Tourism Brain Support Module” and “Tiantai County Cultural Tourism Brain Support Module”, were on the list.
With the continuous promotion of smart tourism, the ever-expanding “digital+”application scene is like an extended nerve vein, which constitutes the nervous system of the “brain” of wisdom.
Tiantai County joined hands with “Tour Guide Online” to participate in the first digital tourism industry exhibition. This project is also an upgraded version of the application of “Shilu Station”, one of the first digital reform pilot projects of Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Tourism Department. At present, the platform has settled in 69 tour guides and 47 cultural tourism enterprises and merchants, and published nearly 20,000 Tiantai cultural tourism promotional works with a reading volume of 2 million. It is a good platform for tourists, tour guides and travel agencies to directly connect supply and demand.
In 2021, with the help of the pilot project of “Micro-transformation and Fine-promotion” of tourism in Zhejiang Province, Xianju County created the application of “Tour Promotion”, providing a digital way for the “Micro-transformation and Fine-promotion” of the Grand Garden around Shenxian. Nowadays, tourists who come to Xianju can really feel the landscape, format, facilities and environment of Shenxianju Scenic Area..Significantly improved.
Under the background of the era of big data, the innovative path of Tiantai and Xianju in accelerating the digital transformation and upgrading of the cultural tourism industry is a microcosm of promoting the integration of cultural tourism and upgrading the business format in Taizhou.
