In order to implement the requirements of the on-site promotion meeting of the management of religious affairs among the whole citizens, on August 19, the Hangzhou Religious and Ethnic Affairs Service Center went to Jiande City to investigate and promote the standardized management of folk religious affairs, and Gong Zhijian, deputy director of the United Front Work Department of the Jiande Municipal Party Committee and director of the Minzong Bureau, participated in the investigation.
The working group visited the Five Saints Temple in Daciyan Town, the Red Temple in Genlou Street, the Zhugong Temple in Yangxi Street, and the Guandi Hall in Xiaya Town, listened to the report of the Jiande Civic Sect Bureau on the management of folk belief sites, and gave guidance on the work of “risk elimination and security”.
The working group pointed out that folk belief work should be managed in accordance with laws and regulations, and the needs of the masses should also be respected. It is necessary to strictly implement the responsibility for territorial management, and all townships, towns, and neighborhoods should incorporate folk belief affairs into the grassroots grid, and guide folk belief activity sites to improve their self-management capabilities. All village communities should urge grid members to strengthen daily inspections, be good at discovering problems and implement rectification in a timely manner. Grassroots folk cadres should actively explore the laws of folk beliefs, strengthen the idea of “guidance,” focus on management, and strengthen the management of folk belief activity sites in accordance with the requirements of orderly layout, standardized management, and safe activities. It is necessary to implement the work of safely creating folk belief activity sites, periodically conducting inspections of buildings and key links such as fire, electricity, gas, and insect moth prevention in the venue, and tightening and compacting building safety, fire safety, epidemic prevention and control, and other work to ensure the safety and stability of folk belief activity sites.
