On August 23, Chen Guangsheng, Secretary of the Party Group of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, went to the China National Silk Museum and the Provincial Cultural Center to investigate. Chen Guangsheng stressed that the leading pavilion should play a leading role, further enlarge the pattern, lower the figure, set benchmarks in academic research, boutique creation, event planning and other fields, gather the flow of people and gather popularity through optimized services, and actively explore the public cultural ecosystem driven by the provincial pavilion and multi-level linkage, so that more people can become regular visitors of the museum and the owner of the cultural center.
Chen Guangsheng visited the “West Sea Changyun” and Chinese and Western fashion exhibitions in the Fashion Hall at the China National Silk Museum, the display of cultural and creative products in the Splendid Gallery and the weaving demonstration of the Weaving Hall, inspected the textile cultural relics restoration testing laboratory and the textile cultural relics restoration room, listened to the work report of the museum, and held discussions and exchanges with the leadership team. He noted:
The China National Silk Museum is a “national brand” museum, which should have the professional height and museum atmosphere representing Luyang China. This year coincides with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the China National Silk Museum. Standing at 30 will inevitably require China Silk Boden to take a long-term view, keep in mind the ardent expectations of “inheriting Chinese silk culture and carrying forward the spirit of the Silk Road” put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping when working in Zhejiang, and continue to start again.
The first is to benchmark against the world-class and further expand international influence. Silk is an important element of Chinese culture, and the Silk Road is an important window to showcase China’s contribution to human civilization. It is necessary to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, make good use of the international platform to tell the story of Chinese silk, strive to sprint from a domestic first-class thematic museum to a world-class museum, and enhance the international discourse power by seizing the commanding heights of scientific research and academia.
The second is to focus on service efficiency and highlight quality with popularity. Museums should enhance the concept of traffic, actively innovate mechanisms, fully tap resources such as museum areas, collections, and scientific research, and strive to enhance their attractiveness to the public. Pay attention to the integration of tradition and fashion, constantly enrich the content and form, build a social and educational brand, explore the construction of a “smart museum”, and strive to launch “explosive” activities and products loved by people, especially teenagers.
The third is to give full play to the leading role and comprehensively upgrade the value chain. It is necessary to broaden the horizon, deepen the study of the Silk Road, which attaches equal importance to land and sea, and the “primary colors of Song Yun”, and continue to hold key theme exhibitions. Further give play to the role of leading pavilions, rationally plan and expand workstations, strengthen business guidance for grassroots pavilions, promote the sinking of high-quality exhibitions, brand activities and other resources, and better realize cultural benefits.
