The launch ceremony of local folk art inheritance and the pairing activity of teachers and students for famous folk artists entering the campus invite numerous national representative inheritors, creative experts, and outstanding actors of Shaoxing local folk art, together with art school teachers, to work together to inherit and promote the teaching of various forms of folk art, such as Lianhualuo, Pinghu tune, ci tune, and Tanhuang, and to work together for the inheritance and promotion of Shaoxing local folk art. This is another measure taken by the school as an intangible cultural heritage base to actively undertake the responsibility of inheriting and promoting local excellent culture. It is also a practice for the school to seek professional characteristics and expand the high-level construction connotation of the opera profession.
At the launch ceremony, Shaoxing Art School hired five nationally representative inheritors of Shaoxing local folk art, including Hu Zhaohai, Ni Quanquan, Zheng Guanfu, Wang Yuying, and Song Xiaoqing, as advisors for the inheritance of different genres. It also hired outstanding folk art actors such as Pan Hailiang, Chen Xiangping, Zhu Liquan, Meng Jiaoli, and Shao Hongtao as special teachers, allowing famous artists to enter the campus and guide students in pairs. At the same time, the school recruited five teachers, including Zhang Keping and Jin Lijin, to join the teaching of folk music. Principal Yu pointed out that Shaoxing is renowned for its “five major genres of opera and five major genres of music”, and is a golden business card of Shaoxing, representing excellent traditional culture. Inheriting and promoting them is of great significance. Today, with the promotion of high-level construction in the drama major of Shaoxing Art School, initiating the inheritance of local folk arts is not only fulfilling the responsibility of the intangible cultural heritage base, but also pursuing the school’s characteristics, and also assuming the responsibility of local cultural inheritance.
In the subsequent inheritance and performance stage, Song Xiaoqing and other famous folk artists performed together with teachers and students from Shaoxing Art School, embarking on a journey of spreading and learning folk art.
