“Liangzhu” means a beautiful continent in the water. In the early spring of March, strolling through the ruins park of Liangzhu Ancient City, patches of new green have appeared on the Yuan Ye.
“At the latest, around Qingming, everyone can see a piece of rapeseed in Liangzhu Ancient City.” Liang Renming lives in Changming Village, Pingyao Town, Yuhang District, Hangzhou, not far from the ruins of Liangzhu Ancient City, and is a famous grain grower in the area. Since 2015, he has contracted more than 800 mu of farmland in Liangzhu Ancient City Ruins Park. According to the arrangement of the garden, he planted rapeseed after the late rice harvest last year.
“Liangzhu site is a sacred place to prove the history of Chinese civilization for 5,000 years”, and before 5,000 years, Liangzhu civilization was once brilliant, which could not be supported by developed rice farming. In Chizhongsi site in the ancient city, about 200,000 kilograms of carbonized rice was an important witness. The developed prehistoric rice farming is also an important factor in the successful selection of Liangzhu Ancient City as a world cultural heritage in 2019.
