At 12:00 noon on October 21st, a batch of cross-border e-commerce transit goods from the UK completed their outbound shipment under the supervision of Ningbo Airport Customs, which is under the jurisdiction of Ningbo Customs, at the cross-border warehouse of Sinotrans at Ningbo Lishe Airport. There are 7 trucks waiting in a long queue outside the warehouse for loading. These trucks will carry this batch of cross-border e-commerce goods to the Ningbo Jiali Datong Bonded Warehouse to prepare for the e-commerce “Double Eleven” promotion event. It is understood that this batch of goods consists of 144 pieces, weighing 28.8 tons, all of which are protein powder and will be sold on Taobao platform.
With the continuous development of cross-border e-commerce import businesses such as online bonded shopping and cross-border direct mail, cross-border goods have long been a frequent customer of the “Double Eleven” promotion activities. In order to ensure the smooth customs clearance of cross-border e-commerce goods and assist consumers in “buying from home all over the world”, Ningbo Airport Customs has strengthened communication with cross-border supervised warehouse operators, freight forwarding companies, and other companies to understand the recent cross-border commodity import and export plans. They have formulated the “Double Eleven” event supervision plan and emergency plan in advance. It is reported that since early October, Ningbo Airport Customs has released 4 batches and 782 pieces of cross-border e-commerce transit goods during the “Double Eleven” period, weighing approximately 160.73 tons.
At the same time, in order to improve the efficiency of logistics operations, Ningbo Airport Customs has strengthened human resource coordination and achieved the goal of “7 × 24 “make an appointment for overtime work, and set up a special window for cross-border customs transfer business acceptance on site, prioritize the arrangement of inspection and sealing work, and help enterprises reduce logistics and warehousing costs.
Since October, there have been several peaks in the import and customs transfer of cross-border e-commerce goods. Considering the limited parking space in the warehouse, airport customs have repeatedly sent customs officers to work overtime to unpack trucks, effectively alleviating the inconvenience during peak periods and improving the efficiency of logistics operations.
In addition, Ningbo Airport Customs has also increased security inspections of cross-border e-commerce bonded warehouses, improved warehouse video surveillance to achieve full supervision coverage, and ensured that there are no hidden dangers in the safety supervision of the “Double Eleven” e-commerce promotion activities.
