The major project “Archaeological China: Research on the Formation of Early Rice Farming Society in the Middle and Lower Reaches of the Yangtze River” was officially launched
On October 26th, the kick-off meeting of the major project “Archaeological China: Research on the Formation of Early Rice Farming Society in the Middle and Lower Reaches of the Yangtze River” was held online. The conference was led by the Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, co-sponsored by the Hunan Academy of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and the Jiangxi Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, the head of the Department of Archaeology of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the relevant leaders of the Department of Archaeological Management of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the relevant leaders of the Department of Cultural Relics Protection and Archaeology of the Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, the Department of Cultural Relics Protection and Archaeology of the Hunan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, and the Department of Cultural Relics Protection and Archaeology of Jiangxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, and members of the subject expert group from the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the School of Archaeology and Museum of Peking University and the School of Urban and Environmental Sciences. As well as project leaders and research group members from archaeological institutes in various provinces attended the online meeting.
The 2022 Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Training Course was held in Longyou
On October 23, the opening ceremony of the 2022 Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Training Course was held at Longyou County Museum. Zheng Jianhua, Deputy Director of the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, Wu Zhiqiang, former Deputy Director of the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau and Chairman of the Provincial Association for the Protection of Monuments and Sites, Yang Wenqing, Director of the Cultural Relics Protection and Archaeology Division of the Provincial Cultural Heritage Bureau, Zheng Jiali, Deputy Director of the Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, Zhu Zhijun, Deputy Director of Quzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, and Chai Qiongying, Deputy County Magistrate of Longyou County attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Hu Weipeng, director of Longyou County Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports.
