The moon is full on August 15th, and the Mid-Autumn moon cakes are sweet and fragrant. In order to build a strong sense of the Chinese nation community, promote exchanges and exchanges among all ethnic groups, and inherit and carry forward China’s excellent traditional culture, on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, multi-community organizations in Yiwu launched the activities of “National Unity, Righteousness and Family Harmony for the Mid-Autumn Festival”, constantly enhancing mutual understanding among people of all ethnic groups, and sending good wishes of “I hope that people will be together for a long time.”
Yinhai Community and Jimingshan Community
On September 7th and 9th, the Party committees of Yinhai Community and Jimingshan Community jointly organized the Mid-Autumn Festival reunion in 2022 with the Red Pomegranate Bilingual Service Studio of Yiwu Vocational and Technical College of Industry and Commerce. More than 70 people from all ethnic groups in the community were invited to participate.
Ran Xiaoli, the head of Yiwu Red Pomegranate Bilingual Service Studio, explained the origin and customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival to compatriots of all ethnic groups, and let everyone learn the poem “Looking at the Moon” related to the Mid-Autumn Festival through poetry explanation, recitation and writing. Everyone read the poem over and over again with deep affection, and put their feelings on paper, writing carefully, and placing their feelings of reunion with Qiu Si in an ancient poem with profound charm. During the activity, people of all ethnic groups shared the meaning of the moon in Uygur, Kazak, Kirgiz and other ethnic groups, and extended it to the profound significance of the moon in poetry and festivals. People of all ethnic groups speak freely and constantly enhance mutual understanding.
Season community
On September 8th, beiyuan street Four Seasons Community Party Committee and Tongyue Social Workers invited people of all ethnic groups in the jurisdiction to carry out DIY production activities of handmade moon cakes “Our Festival-Full of Beautiful Four Seasons, Full Moon and Mid-Autumn Festival”, and dozens of community residents from different ethnic groups such as Han, Tujia, Miao, Buyi and Tibetan participated in the activities.
During the activity, Tongyue social workers introduced the profound cultural connotation of the Mid-Autumn Festival, introduced the origin, types and characteristics of making moon cakes, and distributed materials such as flour, fillings and molds for making moon cakes to everyone. Everyone began to knead the dough, wrap the stuffing, and put it in a mold to press it into shape according to the production steps of moon cakes. Later, the tea artist made tea for everyone in the Song Dynasty, adding a scent of tea to the moon cakes. Ordering tea with a cup of tea, picking up a crystal-clear ice-covered moon cake, the fragrance of tea is slightly bitter and the softness and sweetness of the moon cake complement each other, and everyone feels the strange land of Mid-Autumn Festival reunion in laughter.
Binwang community
On September 8, a traditional and colorful “Golden Autumn Wonderful Night” activity was launched enthusiastically in Binwang community. The people of all ethnic groups laughed at the event and the fireworks of life slowly spread here.
Combine online and offline, and “immerse” to experience the Mid-Autumn Festival. The scene was permeated with “melting”, and residents of all ethnic groups, foreign friends and take-away riders in the community gathered in the “Happiness School” to divide stuffing, knead skin, wrap stuffing and mold … and learn to make moon cakes by hand. After the event, the community, the Choucheng Police Station and the big party committee alliance units also carried out publicity and education on law popularization in an easy-to-understand and popular form, and attached a tailor-made publicity brochure on cracking down on and rectifying pension fraud, which enhanced the awareness of the rule of law of all ethnic groups.
Wuai community
On September 9th, the Party Committee of Wuai Community in Jiangdong Street and the “Ayile Sasha” ethnic studio jointly held the activity of “Uniting Ayile and Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival”, and more than 20 representatives of ethnic minorities and some community residents were invited to participate.
At the beginning of the activity, the staff of “Ayile Sasha” studio explained the origin and significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival to the people of all ethnic groups, so that everyone could feel the charm of traditional culture and inherit Chinese virtues. At the scene, the staff explained and demonstrated the practice of mooncakes with ice skin. Some people kneaded the dough, some wrapped it, and some put it in a mold to form it, which was very serious. After making moon cakes, volunteers organized children to carry out entertainment activities, and the whole activity was filled with a strong Mid-Autumn Festival, which made people of all ethnic groups feel the festive atmosphere and care.
In recent years, Yiwu has actively created a gold business card of “Our Festival” brand with Yiwu’s recognition, which has carried forward the traditional culture and education throughout the Chinese nation’s community consciousness, enhanced the people’s sense of identity with Chinese culture, enabled people of all ethnic groups to meet each other hand and foot and help each other, and promoted extensive exchanges, all-round exchanges and deep integration of all ethnic groups.
