On August 22nd, Shaoxing held a special report meeting of Shaoxing Forum, and invited Yang Jianwu, a member of the Party Group of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and director of the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, to give a keynote speech entitled “Zhejiang Archaeology and Chinese Civilization-the Rising Star in the Origin of Chinese Civilization”. At 14:30 p.m. local time in the Czech Republic on August 24th (20:30 Beijing time), the 37th General Assembly of ICOM was held both on-site and online in Prague. Zhao Feng, executive director of the China Museum Association and honorary curator of the China Silk Museum, was elected as a member of the Executive Committee by the highest number of votes on the recommendation of the China Museum Association (China National Committee of the International Association of Museums).

Release of emblem logo of Zhejiang University City College of Art and Archaeology
On August 22nd, the emblem of the College of Art and Archaeology of Zhejiang University City College was released. The brand-new emblem of the College of Art and Archaeology was created by college teachers. The logo form is refined from the jade cong. The jade cong’s shape is “round like the sky, and the square like the ground”. The positive and negative shapes combine the words “art” and “ancient” in art and archaeology respectively, simplifying the image, and expressing the combination of the two words through the positive and negative shapes in seal cutting.

The second training course of calligraphy and painting appraisal in Zhejiang Province started in Ningbo.
On August 23rd, the 2022 “Zhejiang Second Painting and Calligraphy Appraisal Seminar” hosted by Zhejiang Cultural Relics Bureau, undertaken by Zhejiang Cultural Relics Appraisal Station and co-organized by Ningbo Tianyige Museum officially started in Ningbo. A newly discovered cliff stone carving in Xidian, Ninghai
Recently, local cultural enthusiasts found a cliff stone carving in Xidian Town, Ninghai, which recorded the story of a Yuan Dynasty official looking for crystal ore in Zhanglin, Ninghai (now Zhangshu Village, Xidian Town). Cliff consists of two seven-character poems, which are the harmony poems of this official Hara and local monks. At the end of the article, there is a complete title and date. It is understood that this is the only cliff stone carving of the Yuan Dynasty found in Ningbo so far with a clear date, which is 724 years ago.
