On November 13, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the opening of the Hangzhou Museum, a special exhibition of “Liangdao Mountain No. 18 Plan” was held, showing the “family background” closely related to Hangzhou, and 158 pieces of the museum’s collection from the Neolithic Liangzhu Culture to the present, covering ceramics, jade seals, metal products, rare books of calligraphy and painting, coins, folk customs and other textures of different ages, of which 77 pieces were first presented, It has concentrated the historical changes and cultural, material, life and other aspects of human relations in Hangzhou over the past five thousand years, attracting many citizens to visit and understand the past and present life of the city.
Located at No. 18, Liangdaoshan, Wushan Scenic Spot, Hangzhou Museum, formerly known as the Hangzhou History Museum, was completed and opened on October 8, 2001. It is a comprehensive humanistic museum reflecting the historical changes of Hangzhou. In June 2012, the Hangzhou History Museum was upgraded to the Hangzhou Museum; In May 2017, it was promoted to the third batch of national first-class museums.
This special exhibition will continue until February 13, 2022, with free visit by appointment. Some of the exhibits were exhibited in limited time due to the requirements of cultural relics protection.
