On June 6th, the launching ceremony of “Innovative Technology in China” and China-Israel Science and Technology Project Matchmaking Meeting was held in Hangzhou. The purpose of this matchmaking meeting was to further strengthen cooperation and exchanges between China and Israel, better implement the consensus reached by the two prime ministers on the economic and technological cooperation mechanism between the two countries, and promote pragmatic cooperation between Chinese and Israeli enterprises. Zhou Guohui, Director of Provincial Science and Technology Department, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
Zhou Guohui pointed out that Zhejiang and Israel have long-term friendly and close cooperation, and in recent years, the two governments have conducted many exchanges and mutual visits, forming a series of consensus on deepening cooperation. Zhejiang Province has a good industrial base, active private enterprises and developed market economy, which is in good agreement with Israel’s advantageous technical fields. Especially since the signing of the Agreement on Science, Technology and Industry Cooperation between Zhejiang and Israel’s Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2014, the level of cooperation between the two sides has been greatly improved, the channels have been smoother, and the cooperation has been further enhanced. Zhejiang-Israel scientific and technological cooperation is facing good opportunities and prospects. In the next step, Zhejiang will actively integrate into the Three-year Action Plan for China-Israel Innovation Cooperation (2015-2017). According to the key areas determined by the two governments and the industrial and technical needs of our province, we will focus on strengthening cooperation with Israel in the fields of nanotechnology, biomedical technology, clean energy and renewable energy, agricultural science and technology, computer science, etc., actively promote the establishment of a national-level China-Israel innovation park in our province, and support the establishment of a “China-Israel IT innovation park” in Hangzhou High-tech Zone. Seriously organize the Zhejiang-Israel joint R&D plan, support enterprises of both sides to carry out joint R&D, technology introduction, technology application and technology transfer projects aimed at high-tech transformation and industrialization, and encourage carriers such as cooperative incubators and innovation parks in construction.
The two-day matchmaking meeting of China-Israel science and technology projects, in which representatives of Chinese and Israeli science and technology experts and entrepreneurs gathered in Hangzhou, made in-depth discussions and exchanges on the theme of “Innovative Technology in China” and actively built a platform for project matchmaking and economic exchanges.
