The Hong Kong Palace Museum of Culture said on the 12th that in 2022, the museum was generously donated by 12 well-known local collectors and artists in Hong Kong, a total of 1145 Chinese and world cultural relics and art collections.
The donation ceremony was held at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Lecture Hall of the Hong Kong Palace Museum of Culture on the same day. Yang Runxiong, Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Tan Yunzhi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Palace Museum of Culture, served as the guests of the ceremony, and issued a certificate of thanks to all donors to commend their contributions and support to the Hong Kong Palace Museum of Culture.
It is reported that the collection was donated by 12 famous art collectors and artists in Hong Kong, including Lu Yinyin, Zhu Weiji, Zhong Qiwei, etc. The collection covers gold and silver ornaments, ceramics, bronze, stone carving, ink painting, etc.
Some of these treasures have been exhibited in one of the opening thematic exhibitions of the Hong Kong Palace Museum of Culture – “Enjoy and enjoy together – cross the history of Hong Kong collection” (Hall 6), and other collections will be exhibited successively from 2023.
Yang Runxiong said that with the support of the central government, the SAR government will continue to work to promote and inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture, promote cultural exchanges with the mainland and overseas, and grasp the unique advantages of the West Kowloon Cultural District to tell the stories of China and Hong Kong.
