“Rites and Music of Governors-Bronze Treasures Exhibition from Zhou Dynasty” opened in Taizhou Museum on January 13th. This exhibition is hosted by Taizhou Museum, assisted by Suizhou Museum and Suizhou Huaxia Museum. There will be 86 pieces (sets) of bronzes on display, and 70 pieces (sets) of national first-class cultural relics, including the chimes of Jiuding Baduan and Leigudun Tomb No.2, so that the general public and friends can enjoy the “cultural feast” at their doorstep now.
It is reported that the “Rites and Music of the Governors-Bronze Treasures Exhibition from the Zhou Dynasty” showed the audience a large number of representative cultural relics from the two countries during the two-week period, which were mainly divided into two categories: ritual vessels and weapons, as well as washware, covering almost all etiquette appliances in the Zhou Dynasty. The biggest highlight of this exhibition is a set of 36 bells of the Warring States Period, which were unearthed in the No.2 Tomb of Leigudun in Suizhou, Hubei Province. This is a well-preserved set of bells in the world at present. Tested by experts, each clock is a bell with two tones, and it can still play ancient and modern Chinese and foreign music, and often travels abroad on behalf of China. (Taizhou Museum)
