In order to carry forward traditional culture and inherit traditional festivals, Longwan District Haibin Street held the “February Erjie Fu” folk custom activity in Ningcun, displaying the characteristic folk customs of Ningcun Village that have lasted for more than 400 years.
As an integral part of the national intangible cultural heritage “soup and beliefs”, Ningcun “Blocking Street Fu” originated from the Ming Dynasty replacement of the “Zhongtang Fu” ceremony. In the ancient folk customs of southern Zhejiang, when a new house was completed, the first major event was to insert a peach wooden stake about 2 feet long in the middle hall, called the “Zhongtang Charm”, as a “treasure of the town house” to ward off disasters and avoid evil and bless peace. Because the “middle hall charm” of peach wood is placed in the open air, it is easy to break in the sun and rain, and it needs to be replaced with a new one. And the replacement of the “treasure of the town house” is not small, must hold a certain ceremony, so the ancestors of Ning Village chose the auspicious day of the second day of the lunar calendar “dragon raises”, the ceremony from simple to complex, from small to large, once a year, hundreds of years of gestation and inheritance, and in the past 30 years, the evolution has expanded into the “block the street” activity.
Yesterday afternoon, an altar was set up in the main hall of Tanghe Temple, and an incense table was set up in front of the altar, and the table was filled with offerings brought by the believers for blessings, representing the “wishes” and “wishes” of all the villagers. A variety of offerings express the gratitude of the people of Ningcun for the harvest year and the blessings of the coming year.
The third day of junior high school is the day when the “Hundred Family Banquet” is held. In the morning, people from all directions will flow to the soup and temple. At noon, everyone finds acquaintances to share a table, enter the table with tickets, the atmosphere is warm, everyone toasts together, wishes for the new year, and allows the villagers to receive the baptism of folk culture in this slightly chilly spring.
