On the 18th, the People’s War of Resistance against Japan Memorial Hall in China held the theme activity of “Remembering History and Remembering September 18th”, which aims to look back on history, remember martyrs and warn people not to forget national humiliation, learn from history and cherish peace.
The activity kicked off in the impassioned “march of the volunteers”, where the audience sang National Anthem of the People’s Republic of China, followed by a moment of silence for the martyrs who died heroically in War of Resistance against Japan, China.
Luo Cunkang, director of the People’s War of Resistance against Japan Memorial Hall in China, said in his speech that 91 years ago today, Japan brazenly launched the September 18th Incident. At the critical moment when the nation was in danger, countless patriots in China stepped forward, threw their heads and shed their blood, and fought bravely without fear of violence, leaving behind many touching stories.
At the scene, the staff and volunteers of China People’s War of Resistance against Japan Memorial Hall recited the anti-Japanese war theme and sang anti-Japanese war songs. Yang Li, a staff member of China People’s War of Resistance against Japan Memorial Hall who participated in the recitation, said: “We look back at this history in various ways today, just to remind people not to forget the national humiliation, learn from history, and inspire people to make unremitting efforts and continue to struggle for a better life.”
