The fifth batch of historical buildings in Jiaxing city is located in the central urban area of Jiaxing, Yuxin Town, Nanhu District, Wangjiangjing Town, Wangdian Town and Honghe Town in Xiuzhou District. In terms of building category, the majority of historical buildings in this batch are bridge buildings, accounting for one-third, followed by public buildings, storage buildings, temple religious buildings and structures; From the perspective of construction age, half of the historical buildings were built after the founding of New China, and the overall quality of construction is better.
The publication of the list of historical buildings will help to better inherit history and culture and preserve urban and rural memories. Up to now, Jiaxing has released a list of five batches of historical buildings, with a total of 164 historical buildings in the urban area.
Next, the Municipal Construction Bureau will work with relevant units to delimit the protection scope and construction control zone of the batch of historical buildings, set up protection signs, establish surveying and mapping archives, and effectively do a good job in the protection of historical buildings; Governments at all levels and relevant departments (units) will perform their respective duties, strengthen publicity, and earnestly perform their duties in protecting and managing historical buildings.
