On December 22, the final and award ceremony of “Zhijiang Maker” 2020 Global E-commerce Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition were held in Shaoxing. Zhu Congjiu, Vice Governor of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government, Jia Guoyong, Secretary of the Party Committee of China International E-commerce Center, Sheng Qiuping, Director of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, Sheng Yuechun, Deputy Secretary of Shaoxing Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Shaoxing City and other leaders attended the event and presented awards. Relevant leaders of the competition, leaders of Shaoxing Municipal People’s Government and nearly 100 experts and guests in the field of digital economy, e-commerce and venture capital at home and abroad attended the event, which was watched by 5 million people online.
In his speech, Sheng Qiuping pointed out that e-commerce is the most important part of the digital economy, and it is also the most active and concentrated field of innovation and application in the digital economy. E-commerce entrepreneurship and innovation have played a positive role in revitalizing industry, stabilizing employment, promoting consumption, ensuring people’s livelihood, and helping to alleviate poverty. Efforts to create a good atmosphere conducive to e-commerce entrepreneurial innovation, constantly stimulate e-commerce entrepreneurial innovation, is the in-depth implementation of the CPC Zhejiang provincial party committee of Zhejiang province national economic and social development 14 five-year plan and 235 years vision proposal ” the important measures, also is to speed up the important content of building digital strong province. In the past four years, the brand “gold content” of “Zhijiang Maker” brand has been continuously improved, showing the characteristics of event brand sound, wide international communication, complete service ecological chain and high project conversion rate. It provides more than 1,000 times annually, and nearly 40 participating projects have been signed and settled in Zhejiang. Sheng Yuechun stressed that Shaoxing will use this activity, focus on cultivating a number of local demonstration enterprises, welcome the majority of entrepreneurs to become the “city partner” with Shaoxing, Shaoxing will be a good “shopkeeper”, do a good job of “waiter”, to create a first-class business environment.
As a major event of mass entrepreneurship and innovation in the field of e-commerce in Zhejiang Province, “Zhijiang Maker” is guided by the China International E-commerce Center of the Ministry of Commerce, and jointly hosted by the Provincial Department of Commerce, the Organization Department of the CPC Provincial Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, the Publicity Department of the CPC Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Cyberspace Office, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Finance, the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Provincial Communist Youth League Committee. The competition has set up seven regions, including Zhejiang, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, Europe, the Middle East and North America, and overcome the impact of the epidemic. The competition attracted dozens of countries and regions to participate, and received nearly 2,000 entrepreneurial projects. The project covers the whole field of digital economy, such as artificial intelligence, Internet, Internet of Things, supply chain, high-end manufacturing, and cultural and creative industries, reflecting the new characteristics, new business forms and new trends of the development of e-commerce. After layers of selection and fierce competition in each sub-division, the world’s top 12 e-commerce projects appeared on the final stage, starting the end of the battle, and fierce competition for the annual championship. In the end, the Devil’s Cat project and the Blue City Agricultural project won the final prize of the “Zhijiang Maker” 2020 Global E-commerce Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition.
This year, many participating projects have received the olive branch from the major venture capital institutions and enterprises on the field, a number of projects directly signed in the competition area, the competition project achievements. At the final award ceremony, some of the first prize projects of the final and the gold medal projects of Alibaba Digital Foreign Trade Talent Competition had an on-site road show, fully demonstrating the style of e-commerce entrepreneurship and innovation.
Finally, the participating leaders, guests and entrepreneurship mentors jointly launched the “Zhijiang Maker” 2021 Global E-commerce Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition. Mass entrepreneurship and innovation have grown from mass innovation and become butterflies from innovation. In the gradual formation of a new development pattern with domestic cycle as the main body and domestic and international double cycles promoting each other, “Zhijiang Maker” will join hands with the majority of entrepreneurial and innovative talents to constantly explore new paths, lead new consumption, release new increment, and become a pioneer of entrepreneurship and innovation, and move steadily in this fertile land of e-commerce in Zhejiang!
