On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Hangzhou becoming one of the first national historical and cultural cities, the “Hangzhou Lin’an City under the —— view of the mountains and rivers”, led by Hangzhou Bureau of Landscape and Cultural Relics and jointly curated by Hangzhou Museum and Hangzhou Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, was launched in Hangzhou Museum today. The exhibition takes the archaeological discoveries of Lin’an City of the Southern Song Dynasty in nearly 40 years as the main line. Around the city and seeing people, it shows the social customs and cultural images of Hangzhou city more than 800 years ago.
Since 1983, the city bureau of gardens and cultural relics began to the southern song dynasty linan city a large-scale investigation, drilling and trial excavation work, found, including the imperial city, longevity palace, temple, central office, royal street, queen house, local officials, officer kiln, temples, etc, a large number of important relics of the southern song dynasty, make deep underground linan city site outline gradually clear.
This exhibition will fully display the archaeological discoveries of Lin’an City in the Southern Song Dynasty in nearly 40 years, including 311 sets of bronzes, 1,080 ceramic pieces (13 first-class cultural relics and 14 second-class cultural relics) collected by 21 cultural, cultural and museum units nationwide. Among them, many precious cultural relics will be exhibited within a limited time.
The Qiantang tide is a wonder of the world. During the Southern Song Dynasty, the wind of tide viewing was increasingly prosperous.”Dream Liang Lu” has a cloud: ” Lin’an custom, four luxury, enjoy play without a virtual day. One of the key exhibits of this exhibition is the fan page of the Qiantang Tide View of the Southern Song Dynasty stored in the Suzhou Museum. Although the picture size is small, it can be seen in the small and medium, showing the surging and spectacular Qiantang tide. This work is undoubtedly a reflection of the observation of the tide fashion at that time. This fan page will be extended from August 27 to September 27.
The 26 scattered pages of “Yanchun Lin’an Annals” of the Southern Song Dynasty are also the heavy exhibits of this exhibition, extending from August 27 to October 24. Xu Ying, director of the collection management department of Hangzhou Museum, introduced that in the Southern Song Dynasty, Lin ‘an local Chronicles “Qiandao Linan Annals”, “Chun You Lin’ an Annals” and “Yanchun Lin ‘an Annals” have been published, and later generations called it the “three annals of Lin’ an”.”Xianchun Lin’an Annals is a masterpiece in the local Chronicles of the Southern Song Dynasty. This page is one of the Song pages collected by Zhang Zongxiang. Half a page of ten lines, lines of nineteen words, small words with the same. It belongs to volume 26 of Yanchun Lin’an Annals, which describes the mountains and rivers of Qian County, involving the location, origin and landscape of the mountains.”
In addition, on the second floor of the exhibition hall, the archaeological discoveries of the imperial city, imperial street, official houses and public facilities, “represent” the history related to Hangzhou in the Southern Song Dynasty, and the highlights of the literati, commodity economy and secular life, aesthetics and overseas trade.
“Since the 1980s, the archaeology of the Lin’an City site has lasted for a long time. In such a large city, we all start from an area of fragmented archaeology, and slowly piece together the whole city of Lin’an.”Wang Zhengyu, deputy director of the Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, said that among many archaeological projects, we have selected representative cultural relics to present to you, including unearthed porcelain, bricks and tiles, which to some extent reflect the urban appearance of Lin’an, interested citizens may wish to have a look.
