Recently, the “I and the Demonstration Area Construction” symposium jointly held by the living room of the Taizhou National Committee of the CPPCC and the Taizhou Municipal Knowledge Association was held in Huangyan District, Taizhou City. The conference focused on the theme of “common prosperity of all ethnic groups”. Xie Wenjun, director of the Legal, People’s and Religious Affairs Committee of the Municipal Association, presided over the meeting, and Zhang Yongliang, vice chairman of the CPPCC in Huangyan District, Taizhou City, and the main leaders of some united front groups at the urban level attended the meeting.
In accordance with the requirements of the municipal party committee for leading the city’s construction, we should follow the path of “nine rich” characteristics, faithfully implement the “eight eight strategy”, strive to create an “important window”, and speed up running on the road of high-quality development and common prosperity.
The participants believed that no ethnic group can be spared from high-quality development and building a demonstration area of common prosperity. We should focus on the ethnic groups in need, go deep into the grassroots to really understand their real ideas and actual needs, make precise connections, implement refined policies, and do everything possible to help the ethnic groups in need keep up with them. Ethnic reception halls and United Front Societies at all levels should unite and lead the people of all ethnic groups, drive the people to become rich first, work hard for the disadvantaged groups of all ethnic groups, fulfill their duties for the construction of the first city, and provide advice for the construction of the demonstration area.
At the meeting, the United Front Work Department of Huangyan District Committee of Taizhou City (District Ethnic Affairs Bureau) introduced three major measures taken by Huangyan District to promote the common prosperity of all ethnic groups this year: first, cooperation with rural commercial banks, credit 500 million yuan to support the entrepreneurship of all ethnic groups, and issue the country’s first ethnic wealth card; Second, organize mentors to pair up with key members of the Youth Enterprise Association and children of ethnic minorities to provide education and life support; Third, the Legal Aid Center of the Judicial Bureau and the law firm cooperated to set up ethnic legal aid points to provide legal aid to ethnic groups.
Before the meeting, Xie Wenjun, director of the Legal, People’s and Religious Affairs Committee of the Municipal Association, and Qin Wangrenzeng, chairman of the Taizhou Ethnic Minorities Association, led the team to visit and pay condolences to five people from all ethnic groups in need, sent them consolation money and heartfelt blessings, and encouraged them to build confidence in life.
