Recently, “Painting Bodhi and Promoting Ecological Civilization”-the special exhibition of Bodhi Leaf Painting in Anji Qizhen Temple opened in the special exhibition hall on the first floor of Wu Changshuo Memorial Hall in Anji County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province.
This exhibition is directed by Huzhou Religious Affairs Bureau, Anji County Religious Affairs Bureau and Huzhou Buddhist Association, sponsored by Anji County Buddhist Association and undertaken by Anji Qizhen Temple. Anji Qizhen Temple made 120 Bodhi leaf paintings and exhibited them in a concentrated way to present the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s centenary birthday. The exhibition runs from December 23rd, 2021 to January 3rd, 2022.
Bao Hong, deputy director of the United Front Work Department of Huzhou Municipal Committee and director of the Religious Affairs Bureau; He Weifeng, deputy director of the United Front Work Department of Anji County Committee and director of the Religious Affairs Bureau; Ding Sheng, full-time vice chairman of Anji County Federation of Literary and Art Circles; Master Ci Man, president of Huzhou Buddhist Association; Wang Qingyun, deputy director of Wu Changshuo Memorial Hall; Cheng Weizhong, president of Anji County Calligraphers Association; teachers who inscribed bodhi leaf paintings; leaders and guests of Anji County Buddhist places, and guests from Buddhist and calligraphy circles attended the opening ceremony.
This exhibition is one of a series of educational activities with the theme of “Revisiting the Centennial Journey and Creating a New Chapter” to celebrate the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC). The aim is to strengthen the enthusiasm of all places, teaching staff and religious believers in the county for loving the party, patriotism and socialism, and comprehensively enhance the efforts of China-oriented Buddhism in Anji with the construction of ecological temples as the key link.
