Since the end of August, Yiwu Citizen Religious Affairs Bureau, together with the city’s “Three Reforms and One Dismantlement”, Land and Resources Bureau, Law Enforcement Bureau and other units, has carried out a spot check on the management of folk belief affairs in all towns (streets) in the city. There are two towns (streets) that have not completed the registration and numbering work, two have returned to the tide in violation of construction, and eight religious clergy have not been dissuaded, and the grid work evaluation index of relevant towns (streets) in August has been deducted, This is also the third month in a row that Yiwu Municipal Bureau of Religious Affairs has organized spot checks.
Since the Provincial Commission of Ethnic Affairs deployed the management of folk belief affairs this year, Yiwu City has attached great importance to it, issued the Administrative Measures for Folk Belief Affairs in Yiwu City (for trial implementation), and included this work in the “Yiwu Town (Street) Grid Index Evaluation”. The Bureau of Ethnic Affairs and the relevant functional departments carry out spot checks and evaluations every month, and the results serve as an important basis for evaluating the religious work in towns (streets) throughout the year, It has effectively promoted the management of folk belief affairs in the city.
At present, the management of folk belief affairs in Yiwu has achieved phased results, and the achievements of “three reforms and one demolition” of religious sites have been further consolidated. Paper files such as the general layout of various sites and the current building map have been initially established. Some teaching staff have been persuaded to leave, and the registration and entry work is nearing completion, laying a foundation for the smooth completion of the overall objectives of the year.
