According to reports, Beijing’s 2022 “May 18 International Museum Day” activities will focus on the four keywords of “travel, enjoyment, purchase, and discussion”, and museums in the city will hold a variety of cloud activities at the same time, highlighting the unique cultural charm of the construction of Beijing Museum City.
The Beijing Municipal Administration of Cultural Relics has explored a new path of “Internet + Museum” in combination with actual conditions, and jointly launched a series of activities with the theme of “Quick Look at the City of Museums” from May 18, fully mobilizing museums in Beijing to lead the general public to trace the history behind cultural relics and feel the “close” museum through short videos and live broadcasts.
On Museum Day, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics and Kuaishou will jointly launch a series of activities such as “Big Coffee Takes You to Talk About Museums”, “Walking on the Central Axis to Meet the Museum” and “Summer Museum Tour”, respectively, allowing the curator to lead the audience to appreciate the mystery of each museum, allowing social and cultural celebrities to explain the cultural and historical knowledge of the central axis, and allowing dozens of museums in Beijing to continue to carry out live broadcasts on the Kuaishou platform, bringing the audience a wonderful journey of online cloud tour of museums. According to reports, the “Beijing Museum Cloud” service platform will start trial operation on Museum Day. Recently, the results of the 2021 Beijing Regional Museum Excellent Education Activity Selection carried out by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics and the Beijing Museum Society will also be released at the launch ceremony. At the launch ceremony, the promotion activity of “Xingyao Jinghua – Excellent Volunteers of Beijing Regional Museum” will present the style of museum volunteers to the public. This year, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics and the Beijing Municipal Federation of Trade Unions jointly held the “Cultural Relics Conservator (Paper Calligraphy and Painting) Vocational Skills Competition” and the “2022 Beijing Cultural Relics Digital Engineer Vocational Skills Competition” will also be launched online. This competition is the first time that Beijing has held a cultural relics vocational skills competition, aiming to provide a communication platform for personnel engaged in related work in cultural and cultural institutions, send more high-quality compound talents to the cultural museum industry, and advocate that more and more young people can participate in it, so that cultural relics restoration skills can be passed on from generation to generation.
