On the afternoon of May 19th, China Rural Tourism Summit was held in Ninghai County, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. As one of the supporting activities to celebrate China Tourism Day in 2021, the “most beautiful scenery on the road” summer promotion season in go on road trip and the 19th Xu Xiake Festival, the summit was guided by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and China Culture Media Group, co-sponsored by Ninghai County People’s Government and Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, with more than 200 representatives of well-known domestic investment institutions, senior investors, operators, domestic travel agencies, OTA e-commerce and news media reporters.
Zhu Haimin, member of the Party Group and deputy director of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, said that from the “demonstration of thousands of villages and renovation of thousands of villages” to the in-depth practice of “Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets”, Zhejiang villages have achieved a butterfly change from “dirty and messy” to “green and rich and beautiful”, and become a model for beautiful countryside, China. It is hoped that this summit will be an opportunity to organize well-known experts, scholars and practitioners from all over the country to discuss the operation and development of rural tourism, seek a bright future for rural tourism, and strive to contribute wisdom to the high-quality integration and development of culture and tourism industry in the Tenth Five-Year Plan.
Wang Zhi, deputy secretary of the Ninghai County Party Committee and secretary of the Political and Legal Committee, said in his speech that in recent years, Ninghai has always regarded rural tourism as an important path for rural revitalization, as an important choice of Wenluwang County, and developed characteristic tourist routes according to local conditions, creating the brand of village houses, creating the first batch of national global tourism demonstration zones, the first national “two mountains” practice and innovation base in Ningbo, and the national demonstration county of leisure agriculture and rural tourism. Rural tourism needs its own beauty, and it needs to be beautiful together. I hope we can work together with brothers, counties, cities and colleagues in the cultural and travel circles to create more distinctive rural tourism products and jointly explore a broader market space.
At the summit, malei, Senior Vice President of Jingyu Mama Group and General Manager of Qichuang Tourism Group, Cong Zhiqiang, Associate Professor of Renmin University of China, and Xiao Yuwen, the 9th China Contemporary Xu Xiake, shared their themes on rural operation and rural brand building respectively; Introduce the theme of “‘jing’ is Beauty” in Ninghai, and introduce Ninghai culture and tourism investment projects; Academician Yang Shufeng’s Science and Technology Innovation Center held the unveiling ceremony.
In the signing session of the summit, Ninghai County and Gucheng County signed a strategic cooperation agreement for co-construction and co-creation. The township, cultural and tourism enterprises in Ninghai County signed contracts with five investors including Shanghai Jingyu Donkey Mama Group, five operators including Intercontinental Hotel Group and three universities including Donghua University, Ningbo Research Institute of Zhejiang University and Zhejiang University Institute of Technology.

In addition, the launching ceremony of the investment and financing platform of Zhejiang’s culture and tourism industry was held at the summit. According to reports, the “Zhejiang Culture and Tourism Industry Investment and Financing Service Platform” built by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, based on the current development situation of culture and tourism industry, integrates effective resources such as cultural tourism projects, enterprises, financial institutions and support policies by using big data and other technologies, actively promotes the accurate docking and matching between investment institutions and cultural tourism enterprises and projects, and realizes the “one-stop” service of small-scale financing of cultural tourism projects, effectively solving the financing difficulties and expensive financing of cultural and tourism enterprises. At present, many financial institutions, such as Agricultural Bank of Zhejiang Province, Provincial Construction Bank, Hangzhou Bank and Bank of Communications, have launched a number of financial products, such as loans for inclusive finance, key rural tourism villages, county cultural and tourism development and construction loans, tax loans, etc., and successfully connected with the “Zhejiang Financial Integrated Service Platform”.
