The Zhuji Civic and Religious Affairs Bureau actively creates a law enforcement atmosphere of “protecting the lawful and cracking down on the illegal”, going deep into the grassroots to do a good job in the investigation and supervision of folk belief sites, and laying a solid foundation for further standardizing the management of folk belief sites.
First, comply with laws and regulations. Strengthen joint exchanges with townships, townships, and relevant departments, crack down on cult activities and superstitious activities carried out in places that have not been registered by the government, dismantle and ban them, prohibit illegal activities, and strengthen the education and guidance of the masses who have gone astray and are kept in the dark.
The second is to follow the overall layout. Actively dock with higher-level departments, invite higher-level leaders to come to our city for research and guidance, and combine the requirements of the city’s development plan, proceed from the overall situation, adjust the points of folk belief activities, so that the layout is more reasonable and the development is more favorable.
The third is to respect historical inheritance. Many small temples and nunnery have a long history, and even praise beautiful legends and stories, we have transformed them from the perspective of cultural auditoriums and agricultural tool museums, preserved cultural connotations, done a good job of faith guidance, exerted positive energy, preserved excellent culture, and eliminated unhealthy content.
The fourth is to meet the needs of the masses. For some religious needs that have strong needs from the masses, healthy activity content, and conform to folk customs and customs, such as the Liuxian Temple in Dongbai Lake and the Stone Pillar Temple in Datang Town, they can do a good job in supervision and guidance by standardizing management organizations, adjusting activity plans, strengthening financial supervision, and implementing safety responsibilities in accordance with the principle of “territorial management”, so as to lay a good foundation for the next step of establishing “folk belief sites”.
