On the 27th, the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee held a press conference on the protection, inheritance and utilization of the Red Mansion of Peking University and the site of the early CPC revolutionary activities in Beijing. Zhang Aijun, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, said that according to the work arrangement, the exhibition themed “Brilliant Red Preamble – Red Mansions of Peking University and the Early CPC Beijing Revolutionary Activities” would be officially opened to the public on June 29.
According to reports, the exhibition is the core of the “1+9” exhibition system organized by Beijing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party. The exhibition is divided into 6 parts and 19 units, totaling 67 exhibition rooms, displaying 958 precious historical pictures, 1357 precious cultural relics and historical materials, 40 artworks, 13 precious audio and video, and 25 sets of scenes.
Zhang Aijun introduced that according to the work arrangement, the theme exhibition will be officially opened on June 29, and 1000 people will be arranged to visit it by appointment every day. Among them, 500 people were in the morning and 500 people were in the afternoon, and the opening hours were from 9:00 to 17:00 every day, and the hall was closed on Mondays. In the near future, it will mainly focus on organized visits by government agencies and units, and will be open to social units and individuals in due course. Since March 2020, Beijing has planned the protection, inheritance and utilization of the Red Mansion of Peking University and the CPC’s early revolutionary sites in Beijing (31 sites in total) as a whole.
