This makes Zhang Yuyan, who has been engaged in the research on the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases for many years, realize that a new way to use the hot research problem of cerebral ischemia and stroke drugs may be used to find a new way to fill the shortcomings of t-PA and get more rescue time for patients.
With her own expertise, Zhang Yuyan thought of —— red injection, a common medicine in Chinese patent medicine. Zhang Yuyan told reporters that Danhong injection is a traditional Chinese medicine injection prepared by the extraction of active ingredients, with anti-thrombolysis, anti-cerebral ischemia injury effect, is a clinical commonly used, effective treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases of traditional Chinese medicine injection.
With the strong support of the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, Zhang Yuyan led the research group to successfully establish a focal cerebral ischemia model of autologous thrombosis, and carried out the research on the optimal dose and subsequent action and action mechanism of the combination application of Danhong injection and t-PA. In the past three years of research, the research group found that the combination of t-PA and Danhong injection could extend the treatment time window of t-PA for drug administration to 4.5 hours, and the drug administration was safe and reliable within this time.
After a large number of mathematical modeling and animal experiments, the research group found that the combination of red red injection and t-PA can significantly improve neural function and protect the blood and brain barrier after 1,3 and 7 days of cerebral ischemia, play a role of brain protection and promote angiogenesis in 14 days of cerebral ischemia, and have a certain protective effect on cerebrovascular endothelial cells.
Zhang Yuyan believes that this study provides a basis for the rational combined drug use of western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine, and helps to promote the scientific evaluation of the combined therapeutic effect of both Chinese and western medicine, and guide the rational clinical drug use. In the next step, we will continue to carry out clinical research on the combination of Chinese and western medicine to provide basic research support for the active treatment of stroke patients.
