On the morning of November 3, Jiaxing’s first seal cutting exhibition and the fifth Haiyan County Visual Art Exhibition were held in the Haiyan County Museum. The 73 works on display were all excellent works of calligraphers from all over the city. This exhibition is co sponsored by Jiaxing Cultural Museum and Haiyan County Culture, Radio, Television, Press and Publication Bureau, and co organized by Haiyan County Cultural Museum and the Seal Cutting Creation Committee of Jiaxing Federation of Literary and Art Circles Calligraphers Association.
The contemporary seal cutting in Jiaxing started in the Ming Dynasty. At the same time, influenced by the seal cutting art of Zhejiang, Anhui and Shanghai schools, it formed a unique seal cutting style with the accumulation of history. Nowadays, Jiahe Dadi has gathered a group of modern and contemporary seal cutting elites, who are well educated and skilled, and are determined to inherit and develop the seal cutting art. After the launch of this exhibition, the calligraphy and seal cutting enthusiasts in the city responded positively and participated actively. They depicted the appearance of their hometown with fine seal cutting brushwork, carved the beauty of life with unique ingenuity, and created a large number of excellent works.
It is understood that the organizers received more than 100 seal cutting works, and finally selected 3 gold prizes, 6 silver prizes, 8 bronze prizes, 46 exhibitors and 8 invited authors. Among them, the authors who won the gold medal were Hu Qiang (Tongxiang), Fei Yinbin (Tongxiang) and Su Wenzhi (Haining); The authors who won the silver medal are: Cai Hongjie (Tongxiang), Chu Jiankang (Haiyan), Fei Chunxiang (Tongxiang), Shen Chao (Jiashan), Xu Guoqiang (Tongxiang), Zhu Shiyuan (Pinghu); The authors who won the bronze medal were Jiang Xiaochen (Pinghu), Lu Xiaofeng (Jiaxing), Shao Defa (Haining), Shen Jihong (Tongxiang), Shen Lufeng (Pinghu), Shen Yanliang (Tongxiang), Tang Yabin (Tongxiang) and Tong Renjie (Jiaxing).
The reporter saw on the scene that 73 works on display were mainly based on Zhang Yuanji’s poems and twenty-four sceneries of the North and South Lake. Each work had a prominent theme, which was either neat and beautiful, vigorous and vigorous, or finely carved. It not only had a high artistic level and artistic value, but also had a strong visual impact. It carved a distinctive cultural mark for the “elegant sea salt”, so that visitors could deeply feel the charm of calligraphy and seal cutting, And appreciate the profound historical and cultural heritage of Haiyan.
Ma Xuewen, curator of Jiaxing Cultural Museum, said: “Haiyan, as a model for the establishment of the national public cultural service system, has made great efforts for the development of Jiaxing’s cultural undertakings.
